LillyRey Arts - I attended Syracuse University and received a degree in sculpture and ceramics. I then worked various jobs in the art field before getting married and having 3 children. I went on to teach special education for 20 years.
Later I moved to the Caribbean and learned about silk painting from a friend. I fell in love with the material and the whole process. I don’t heavily plan my silk art, I just feel what needs to happen. I think of them as functional art that can be hung on the wall or worn as scarves.
I moved to Crestone in 2016 and spent the first few years building my home. Now I focus on my art and enjoy being part of the Crestone Artisans Gallery.
